MAC Sharon Osbourne Collection

Hi Angels,

On the twelfth of June MAC released the Osbourne collection in stores.  I reviewed Kelly's collection earlier.  Now I am back with Sharon Osbourne's half of the collection.

I was fortunate enough to stop by the mall on the release date.  Here is a picture of Sharon's collection :

The lipliner is missing because I had it in my hands.  LOL.  Unlike Kelly's collection, Sharon's is warmer and can be worn by almost anyone.  It consists of four patent polishes (all red packaging and signed) in the upper left hand and right hand corner. The are shiny lippolishes with great staying power. The colors are innocent(glossy taupe),patent pink(neutral pink),french kiss(coffee brown)and ruby(a dark plummy red).

The next row are the lipglasses.  From left to right is pussywillow (creamy nude with high shine) and bijou(muted pink).

In between the lipglasses is the eyeshadow quad called Duchess.  From too left to right Femme Fatale(golden brown satin), Embark(Dark reddish brown matte),Sexy Eyes (soft warm bronze), Sweet Eyes(light golden nude) .While it is a nice warm palette, I passed.  If you are looking for one, it is a must buy.

Sharon's collection also contains a mineralize Skinfinish and a blush.  The MSF is called Refresh(light summer peach with a light golden tan) and Peaches and Cream(a mid tone rose with a satin finish).

The eye pencil is Bountiful Brown(a bronzed brown).  It is part of the permanent collection.  The lip pencil which I purchased is cranberry( it is a soft yellow pink).

The last part of the collection are the special edition brushes.  They are the 275se on the left(medium angle shading) and the 167se (face blender).

The collection is very popular and availability changes everyday.  You may purchase these items at your favorite MAC counter, maccosmetics.com, Nordstrom, Macy's,  Dillards's and Bloomingdales.

So Angels, have we purchased anything from this collection? What are your thoughts?  Let us know...

Until next time Angels,

Released: MAC Kelly Osbourne

Hi Angels,

I f you can remember a little while ago we told you about the upcoming MAC Osbourne Collection.  Well the collection was released Monday on Maccosmetics.com and it is flying off the shelves.  It will be released in stores on the 12th so be on the lookout.

In the meantime, shall we look at the gorgeous pics? (all courtesy of Maccosmetics.com).  If I get to the release in stores on time I will add my own pics.  In the meantime check out the Osbourne ladies serving face.

Kelly better worrrrrrrkkkkk!!!!!  You know Ms. Sharon was not to be outdone.  Here she is below: (we will look at her items in a separate post)

Can we all gorge!!!!!  Now on to the makeup that I must say was tailormade to each ladies skintone and hair color perfectly.  So if you are a match in anyway you have hit the jackpot.

Now onto each collection...let us begin with Kelly's collection.  Pictured below is her eyeshadow quad called Bloody Brilliant.
From top left to right: Spoonful of Sugar(sparkling platinum) and aTickety Boo(muted plum brown).
From bottom left to right: Fizzy Rose(pale lilac) and Shadowy Lady(a blackened plum).  The shadows come encased in a pretty lilac palette with Kelly's signature in red. The price is $44.00.  All in all it looks like a cute palette.  It reminds me of Spring Forecast's purple eyeshadow palette from a few years back.

As I have told you all in past posts, I am a brow junkie.  By the looks of Ms. Kelly's next item, so is she.  The next pic is of Kelly's brow duo called Morning Mr. Magpie.

The shadows used are Soba and Brun.  They are of a satin finish and are used to fill in the brows.  In the limited edition signed palette this is priced at $22.00.

The Kelly Jumbo Pentulmate is the next pretty piece. In the collection's signed purple shell you will find Rapidblack which is a deep dark black liner.  It is priced at $22.00.  Here it is below:

Kelly's beautifully lined lids are also lined by her own kohl.  It is called Kelly's eye Khol.  Smolder(black) is reintroduced to us in the pretty packaging for $17.50.  It is currently sold out on maccosmetics.com.  Have a look :

Our next pretty is one of the sold out items.  It it the Kelly lip pencil.  In Synch is given a makeover in the special packaging for $16.50.  Take a look below and if you like it try to purchase it at your neighborhood counter.

The next Kelly item flew off the website. It is the lipsticks.  If anyone knows Kelly, she is serious about her lipstick.  She cried when she couldn't find another Candy Yum Yum.  Look at these pretties:

Strip Poker (matte)

Riot House (matte)

Kelly Yum Yum (satin). So fitting!

Dodgy Girl (matte)

I am a pink girl so I will definitely swatch Kelly Yum Yum.  I would've preferred it in a matte finish.  But who knows...the other three will look stunning on paper beauties.  Kelly must look stunning with dodgy girl.

We will now look at Kelly's mineralize skinfinish.  It is called Jolly Good.  It is double sided with mineralize light cool beige and pink.  It is $33.00 and currently sold out online.  Here it is pictured below:

There is also a blush in this collection called Cheeky Bugger.  It is a matte rosy pink pictured below.  It is priced at $22.00 and is also sold out at maccosmetics.com.  Feast your eyes on Cheeky Bugger.

The last two items in this collection are brushes.  They are both currently sold out online.  The first is the 219se pencil brush.  This se brushes are smaller than your regular brushes and are machine made.  It is for your crease and smudging eyeliner in the lower lash line.  It has the pretty light purple handle and signature.  It retails for $27.50. Here is the pic:

The second brush is also a short end and retails for $58.00.  It is the 183se flat buffer.  It makes buffing powders and bronzer a snap.  It also has the pretty purple handle and signature.

So Angels, what do you think about Kelly's collection?  Were you a part of the luck few that bought the most popular items?  Are you going to the store launches?  Let us know what you did and what you thought?  I'll be back with Sharon's half later on.

Until next time Angels

MAC Maleficent

Hello Angels,

I am back with a peak at one of MAC's newer collection. It is MAC Maleficent.  This collection has been in the making for years.  There was a collection released called Venomous Villains a few years ago.  The Maleficent items sold out the fastest.   She is my favorite of all the Disney villains.  I mean how are you evil, fierce and beat!  LOL.

This is released just before the movie starring Angelina Jolie.  She is also the face of the MAC collection.  If you haven't seen the commercials for the movie, here is the collection photo:

This photo does not even show the special effects and crazy contouring.  The collection is small and does not contain any bright colors.  The makeup has a Maleficent design and does not qualify for the pro discount.

Here is the makeup courtesy of maccosmetics.com.
The eyeshadow quad:($44.00)

The colors are composed of some MAC regulars such as Carbon, Goldmine and Concrete.  Browndown is seen so often at MAC that it might as well be permanent if it isn't.  If you are not able to snatch up the palette, you can build a palette with three of the four colors.  Colors such as Saddle can serve as the brown.  This is a good starter palette for those who are new to makeup and even for those that want a travel palette full of staples.

Next we have the Maleficent  Pentulmate Eyeliner in Rapidblack:($21.50)
This is perfect for that Angelina cat eye in the blackest of black.  Use the very tip for a thin line and more of the body for a thicker line on your upper lid.

Next we have Maleficent Eyebrows in Fling. ($17.50)  This is the perfect color for someone with light eyebrows.  This is also part of the permanent collection as well as some great other colors.

Next we have MAC lashes with the Maleficent design on the package. These are the 30 lash which are individuals.  They are to be added for fullness or just at the corner for a little drama.  They are $17.50.

Next we have the Maleficent 36 lash for $17.50.  It also has the Maleficent design on the box.  It is a perfectly shaped lash that can be reused if properly cared for.

The Maleficent  pro longwear lipgloss is a beautiful red gloss that can be worn alone or over the lipstick.  ($22.00) With the pro longwear formula it will last throughout the day:

The collection also boasts a gorgeous red lipstick in the amplified formula.  It is called True Love's Kiss.  This is a red with blue undertones.  It is great for a variety of skin tones.  It is currently sold out online at Maccosmetics. The price for this beauty is $17.50.  Here it is below:

There is a Maleficent pro longwear lipliner called Kiss me Quick.  It is a beautiful yellow-red that compliments the lipstick and lipgloss.  The lip pencil has the Maleficent packaging.  It is priced at $21.50.

This collection would not be complete without a Beauty Powder.  The Maleficent Beauty Powder in Natural is a soft peachy-pink.  This would be best suited for those with lighter skin tones as a blush, highlight or all over powder.  It is $30.00.  I see this being a must have for  those that can wear it.

A prep and prime highlighter will give you in pen form will give you a sheer wash if color with radiance.  This color's collection is Bright Forecast.  It is priced at $25.00.

The Maleficent sculpting powder is a pro powder called sculpt.  With the promise of achieving Angelina Jolie cheekbones, I can see why it is sold out.   It is also in  Maleficent packaging.  The price is $23.00.

The last item is the Maleficent nail polish priced at $17.50.  It also has the Maleficent design.  The nail polish comes in three shades.  They are:

Uninvited (nude with shimmer)

And
Flaming Rose (fiery red)

Last but not least is
Nocturnelle (true black)

I think this collection is chock full of standards.  Some products are not for everyone.  This is definitely a pale beauty's dream come true.  If you are a collector this is also a must have.  The packaging is gorge and different.  Consider it a momento and remember how fierce Angelina Jolie looked in the movie. You can purchase these items at MAC stores, Maccosmetics.com as well Macy's, Nordstrom, Bloomie'a and Dillard's.

So what do we think Angels?  Are you going to buy anything?  Is there something that has caught your eye?  Let us know what you think....

Until next time

April Makeup collaborations

Next month two makeup powerhouses will team up with some influential heavy hitters in fashion.  MAC will be collaborating with Proenza Schuler and Santigold for Smashbox. According to In Style Magazine the designers were clear about their sources of inspiration for their collections.

The Proenza Schuler duo drew from their 2010 Spring Collection.   "Like the clothes the makeup is bright but can be subtle to".  The standouts they announced from this collection are a Pro long wear eyeliner in Black Ice, a flaming pink lipstick named pink fridge and a nail polish in dark plum named Dayflower. The collection will be released on April 3rd at Maccosmetics.com

Style maven Santigold was inspired by Quetzalcoatl a feather snake that represents post apocalyptic earth.  Her standouts are an eyeshadow collage in Apocalypse Now, a coral gloss named Lava and nail art strips in Serpent Charmer.  Her collection will be released on April 1st at Smashbox.com

I am definitely going to check out these collections when they hit the stands.  So Angels, do you see something you like?  Let us know what you think and if you decide to buy something.

Until next time Angels,

Colorful Eye Pencils

Hello Angels,

I am back with a post about my crayons. Lol.  I have many different colored eye pencils.  They come in quite handy when you need a pop of color and don't have time for a full eye look.

I took advantage of the holiday sales at Sephora and at Urban Decay.  I also bought a pencil from MAC I had been eyeing.  They have saved me when I wanted to add a lil kick to a blah look.

Here are the ones I bought:

From left to right:
Smoke-dark gray matte
Sabbath-a creamy dark bluish purple
Chaos-Electric blue

Swatched on NW43 skin:
Left to right-
Sabbath, Smoke and Chaos

Nice right? And that is one swipe. These colors are potent and last for hours.

Here are the second set of Urban Decay Pencils I bought at Sephora:

From left to right:
Psychedelic Sister-vibrant purple with sheen
Freak-neon yellow/green
Goldmine-bright yellow gold

Here are the same pencils from left to right  on NW43 skin:

I love all of these pencils and will be getting more.  They go on and stay on.  Each pencil dries quickly so you must blend or smudge immediately.

I also managed to track down NARS Barrow Street at Sephora.  It was a limited edition pencil.  The color is mint green.  It is matte and true to color.  It might still be available on Sephora.com.

Here it is:

Now here we have it swatched on NW43 skin:

I love it for a pop of color in the morning. It is fresh and doesn't say you will be dropping it like its hot later on.  LOL.

Last but not least is this MAC pencil I spied a little while back.  It is called So There Jade.  It is a PowerPoint pencil.  It is a minty/aqua color with some sheen.  This worn on the lower lash line is beautiful.  This is the pencil:

Here is the swatch:

It is richer than the NARS pencil.  I would say it is jewel toned and can be worn by a broader base of skin tones.

Well Angels I can't wait to incorporate these pencils into some looks.  If worn correctly, some of these can be worn to work.  Let me know if you have any of these or are planning to buy some.

Until next time Angels,
Happy Haulin'

Hello Angels!

Here's the latest on the MAC website.
It's about to be crazy on that site.  The buzz online is that the release date is the 5th of December.

Rihanna and MAC have been cranking out a lot of collections this year.  In each one there is at least one gem worth purchasing.

In Rihanna's last collection here is the lineup. It features the return of RiRi Woo, along with two new Lipsticks: Pleasure Bomb and Bad Girl RiRi. There are Nail Lacquers,a Superslick Liquid Eye Liner and some Veluxe Pearlfusion Shadows.  The collection features a Bronzing Powder and the double-ended 217 Blending Brush.the 239 Eye Shader Brush is also included.   The limited-edition casing in white and rose gold is icing on the cake.

This is just in time for the holidays. I think there will be something for everyone.  I will be on the lookout this evening until tomorrow afternoon online.
