I DIE!!!! Isabel Marant studded gladiator sandals ON SALE, MUST have!

Emergency alert, look what I found on sale at Lagarconne for $357.90. Yeah, that's still steep (gulp), for a sale BUT I promise you if you score a pair of these (especially the black ones), they are the last gladiators you will every buy because they go with everything: Cut off shorts, high-low skirt, maxi dress, mini skirt, boyfriend jeans..... You get my drift. And you'll excuse me as I rush over to grab some for my closet! Happy shopping!!!!

Dark corners smokey eyeshadow look! Pictorial/Tutorial!
Hello Angels!
I'm back with another different smokey eyeshadow and coral lip look that is very wearable during the day and can carry right into night. It's easy to create and I've outlined the products used and steps below with lots of pics.
The Look:
I used the products pictured below.
Eyes: MAC paint pot in groundwork, MAC pigment in Tan, MAC pro longwear eyeshadow in legendary black, MAC eyeshadow in Arena, MAC black kohl eyeliner in Feline, Benefit They're Real mascara.
Lips: Beet lip liner (thick line), Vegas Volt lipstick
Now take a clean shadow brush and blend blend blend!! Make sure you have no harsh color lines. You want each of the colors to flow into each other seamlessly.
Next, add black eyeliner to the lower eyelid and smudge into the lower lash line. Follow with black eyeliner to upper eyelid and at least two coats of mascara to upper and lower lashes.
Finito! You are ready to serrrrrve.... Face that is!

Groundwork as the base, all over the mobile lid to just above the crease
Feline pencil in the inner and outer corners of the eye, blend in to soften the effect towards middle of the eye
Legendary Black eyeshadow in the inner and outer corners of the eye over the feline pencil. Blend well to really soften the edges of the Feline pencil towards the middle of the eye, making sure the color doesn't stray far above the eyelid crease.
Using a SMALL amount of Tan pigment (only need a crumb or two!!), apply to the center of the eyelid from lash line straight up to the brow bone at the highest point of your arch. On the lid, blend this pigment outwards towards the dark corners. In the brow highlight, dip your brush into Arena shadow and use this to blend blend blend the Tan pigment across the brow highlight area.
Now take a clean shadow brush and blend blend blend!! Make sure you have no harsh color lines. You want each of the colors to flow into each other seamlessly.

Arm Candy!!!!
Hello Angels!
As the summer wears on, we want to share with you what we're wearing ON our wrists. Two words: ARM CANDY. If you're not yet up on this trend, allow us at the Pretty Prescription to come to your rescue ;).
You may have been thinking less is more but with this trend more is... well, more! There's really no wrong way to stack bracelets on your arms, with a nice statement watch, playing with texture and color. Mix metals and materials for the ideal look. If you're a DIYer then you're in luck because you can really play with creativity here and save lots of money.

Urban Decay Smoked Palette Smokey Eye Detailed Pictorial!
Hello Angels,
A smokey eye is a very versatile tool to have in your makeup repertoire. It is very easy to wear during the day, in a professional setting, provided the right shades in the correct amounts are used. As promised, here for your viewing pleasure is a detailed pictorial of everything I did to achieve this look:
I used MAC Constructivist as as base and the following UD Smoked Palette colors:
Barlust, Backdoor, Blackout and Mushroom
Consttructivist as a base/primer
Barlust on lid fro lashes to just above crease
Backdoor over eyelid from lashline to just below crease, or the mobile lid (to create a gradient of color)
Blackout layered over backdoor, and this time cover even slightly less of the mobile lid
Blend, blend blend!!!!
Next Feline pencil to tightline the lower eyelid, and smudged along the lower lashline. Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner in Perversion for the upper eyelid
And...... Mascara (Benefit "They're Real!" is my current fave)

OCC Lip Tar Review Day 2, Kava

As promised, I am continuing my review of the OCC pro picks set I got from Sephora.
We already went over "Hoochie" in a previous post for those of you just joining us.
Today I'm going to review "Kava".
Everything I said before about the ease of application and the smooth feeling it has throughout the day as it wears (no stickiness, no parched lips!) in my last post remains true. I lined my lips with MAC chestnut lip pencil because for my NC50 skintone, this shade is very light and needed something to tie it in.
All those positives mentioned, I don't think this will be my favorite in the collection. For those MACnistas out there, this shade is a lot like Peachstock lipstick. Beautiful, but for someone with a skin tone similar to mine, be sure to blend blend bend. Other possibilities might include MAC chickory, or cork pencil. I will also try it with Nars Kenya lip pencil and if I like it better, will post.
For now, you be the judge...
I experminted by adding a little MAC Boy Bait over it and it looked really nice, but definitely made it wear off faster so I recommend sticking with their "Clear" shade if you want some shine.

The Perfect Summer Wedge
Hi Angels!
I spotted these wedges at Vince Camuto, when I flipped them over I couldn't believe they were on sale for $54.99! Now that is a sale! I will be picking up a pair in silver because it goes with everything. They come in a tan/gold tone as well. Can't go wrong with wedges! Happy shopping!
