Sugarpill Heartbreaker Palette Review and swatches!

Hello Angels,

I am back with another palette from Sugarpill.  I've been meaning to review it for a while.  Sugarpill is a brand that I have reviewed before with the Burning Heart Palette.  Their shades are fun, bright and true to color.  Today, I am reviewing the Heart Breaker Palette.  

As with all the palettes, there is a cute case and mirror inside.  

Here is the inside of palette with the vibrant shades from left to right

Acid berry- matte neon green with slight shimmer
Mochi- matte royal blue
2AM- matte lilac/purple
Velocity- matte sea foam green

Here's the swatches from left to right on NW43 skin with no primer:

Angels I like Sugarpill for those bright colors you find at other brands that lack a good POW!  No tugging, no layering.  Just full on color with every swipe.  If that is what you are looking for, get to their website and order.  The website is www.sugarpill.com.  Delivery is the super low flat rate of five dollars.  These palettes are in high demand so put your information in for them alert you if they are back ordered.  Let us know what you think!

Rihanna's RiRi Woo Review

Hello Angels,

If you were like most makeup junkies you entered the standing room in the beginning of the month to pick up RiRi Woo.  I have to say this colIabo was music to my ears.  This limited edition color was sold online in the black MAC bullet case with RiRi written on the side.  It was also sold at her recent concert.  Needless to say it sold out quickly.

The color is a pinker,slightly bluer,Red than MAC's own Ruby Woo. It is a retro matte that will look great on many skin tones. Don't worry angels if you missed it, you will have more chances to add this pretty to your stash. You will even be able to pick one up as a Christmas gift for yourself or someone else. It will then be in than pretty little pink casing along with some other goodies Princess RiRi has put together. All in all a welcome addition to my stash.....may even be back up worthy.

LaFemme Blushes

Hi Angels, come in closer...LOL
I am going to let you in on an industry pearl.   What would you say if I told you that you could find blushes that are as pigmented and pretty as MAC and NARS for about five dollars a pop?

Are you dying to know yet? LOL

Look below. You will find my latest haul of LaFemme blushes. I bought them in palette form so I could put them in a sturdy black palette for less than ten bucks made just for them.   Here are the colors from left to right:
Mauve Sparkle, Mulberry, Bordeaux, Golden Ruby, Purple Passion, and Lilac Champagne.

 

 

Here are the blushes swatched. As you can see they are pretty true to the color in the pan.   This was with one pass on each blush.   Each color can be built up or toned down to your liking.

 

 

 

 

Here are the second set that go into the twelve well palette.
From left to right you have: Mocha, Plum Frost, Indian Rose, Peach Sparkle Dusty Rose and Crystal cafe.  These are also beautiful colors. You will see the colors better in the swatches.

MAC Glamourdaz​e Collection

Hi Angels,
I am back with one of a few reviews from MAC's several holiday collections. I believe there were six this year. I will be reviewing what I purchased from three of the collections. As my collection gets larger I am trying to buy what is most unique in every release.

The picture below was the invite for MAC's Glamourdaze collection. Isn't pretty? Now on to the review......

Here are my goodies from right to bottom: Superb Extra Dimension Skinfinish (a re-release from the Extra Dimension Collection), I'm the One blush, Small Vanity Blush and Outrageously Fun lipstick.

Here are the lovelies swatched from left to right: Superb (a smooth textured white gold skinfinish) , I'm the One (a blue pink matte blush), Small Vanity (a pinky brown matte blush) and Outrageously Fun (a purply/pink blue based cremesheen lipstick).

I was pleasantly surprised by my goodies. You are able to create a very girly and fun look with these items.

I  returned I'm the One blush because it looked like Pink Peony Blush which I already owned.  When I returned the I am the One blush, I then picked up Glamourdaze lipstick. It is also a cremesheen. It is a pretty browny/purply/pink that looks beautiful with Small Vanity blush. I even bought a back up. So that tells you how much I like it.

These lipsticks sold out when they went online. There are still pieces of this collection lurking online at MAC and in stores. It never hurts to ask.

MAC Marilyn Monroe Collection

 

Hi Angels! 

 

I wanted to follow up with you on the MAC Marilyn Monroe Collection I had notified you about, and show some swatches of the new collection.  I have also included some pictures of the play by play of my experience picking up the lastest colors.

This was the display that was setup on both sides of the store. As I got in line, I learned that the lipsticks were almost all sold out. While on line, the lipsticks that were left, Pure Zen and Love Goddess, sold out as well.   I was disappointed to say the least!

A lot of the other items were repromotes such as the lipliners, eyeliners, and the mascara so I didn't bother with swatching them.

 

Here is another pic that we snapped outside of the store at 7:50pm. We were being served different appetizers while waiting.   At this point I decided my game plan was to purchase my desired items and review/swatch the others later.

 

Here are the items I swatched:

Top Row: From left to right: Legendary Blush and The Perfect Cheek

Bottom Row (eyeshadows): How to Marry, Preferred Blond, Showgirl and Silver Screen.

The blushes were a no for me and I was underwhelmed by the eyeshadows. Thank God I called my favorite MAC artist and she set aside Deeply Adored, Love Goddess and Preferred Blond.

The five lipsticks, Scarlet Ibis, Deeply Adored, Love Goddess, Charmed I'm Sure and Pure Zen sold out when they were released at each site. By October 4th Macy's, Bloomingdale's and Nordstrom's all over were selling out their lipsticks within minutes!!

 

 

I managed to swatch all the lipsticks except Scarlet Ibis.
From left to right: Deeply Adored(dark red matte), Love Goddess(pinky-red satin), Pure Zen(warm pink frost) and Charmed I'm sure(blue-based red matte).

The lipsticks, blushes and Beauty Powder are all in black shiny cases with limited, rarely seen pics of Marilyn Monroe.
Be sure to check out whatever you can especially if you are a pale skinned beauty. This collection is made for you.

Candy Yum Yum Is Back!

After painstakingly stalking the site during the BY REQUEST launch, I have just learned that Candy yum yum has now been made permanent. I reviewed the newer version in an earlier post right here.

MAC Marilyn Monroe Collection

Hi Angels,

I received an invite to preview the new MAC Marilyn Monroe collection. I took my business partner to the festivities on September 27th. We reserved spots for the 7:30 time slot. There were to be drinks and appetizers served. As guests, we would be able to purchase and get a first look at the collection. The collection was then released everywhere else on October 4th.

Sugarpill Burning Heart Palette

Hello Angels,

Today I am reviewing the Sugarpill Burning Heart Palette.  For those of you who are not familiar Sugarpill is an indie brand with some of the boldest colors in the business.  This palette has four colors and is more than reasonably priced at $34.00 considering the size of the shadows.

I purchased this palette because I had trouble finding a yellow that showed its true color on my skin.  As you can see by the photo, it did its job. ( I used Flamepoint, Buttercupcake and Love+)  The quad contains four colors.  Flamepoint(orange), Buttercupcake(yellow) Love+(red), and Poison Plum(purple).  These shadows are on makeup artists's lists all over the net when they are citing some of their favorite colors.  Please check out the swatches below:

On Sugarpillshop.com you will find two other palettes as well as the shadows in singles. There is also an abundance of loose shadows in different vibrant colors on their site.  In my honest opinion you get a big bang for your buck when purchasing these shadows. I would definitely check them out if I were you.  Please leave some for me!

Fashion Sets by MAC

Hi Angels!!

I recently tried out the Fashion Sets Collection by MAC.  Here are my thoughts:

From left to right:
Girl about town lipglass and lipstick, Angel lipglass and lipstick, Rebel lipglass and lipstick, Spice lipglass and lipstick, Impassioned lipglass and lipstick and Pink Nouveau lipglass and lipstick.

Of the ones I purchased  from the collection,they all  swatch beautifully.  I have worn Impassioned which is a beautiful coral/pink as well as spice which a surprise hit.  It is a pinky nude made using the same color as the famous lip pencil.  There is also a shade called  Chestnut.(same as the famous lip pencil as well)  I will be wearing the rest this week if I can tear myself away from Spice.

LORAC UNIZIPPED Palette

Hi Angels!!

Ever since Urban Decay struck Gold with their Naked and Naked 2 palette a lot of companies have been jumping on the bandwagon.  UNZIPPED by LORAC is a welcome addition.  These colors differ from the NAKED PALETTE in the warmth in the colors.  The colors have warmth, shimmer and still manage to remain neutral.

From left to right the colors are as follows:

• Undercover (a matte beige with shimmer)
• Unbelievable (a rose gold)
• Unattainable (a light bronzy gold)
• Unconditional (a matte peachy brown)
• Unbridled (a matte chocolate brown)
• Undiscovered (a true gold with shimmer)
• Unreal(a peachy gold)
• Uncensored (a bronze shimmer)
• UnSpoken (a matte swiss cocoa)
• Untamed (a chocolate shimmer)

All these colors are easy to swatch as well as blend. This also comes with a LORAC primer to be worn underneath.  For gals with with warmer skin tones this will not disappoint.  Neutral does not have to be boring!

Peony Petal from the Tres Cheek Collection by MAC

Hi Angels!!

This blush I purchased from the Tres Cheek collection by MAC.  It is a true bubble gum pink with a Satin finish.  It warms up beautifully on the skin with being ashy.  It was a welcome addition to my collection.  Hope you enjoy as well!

MAC Extra Dimension Eye Shadows

Hi Angels!!

I'm back with the low down on the Extra Dimension eye shadows by MAC.  These are a purple/silver/blue eyeshadow named Blue Orbit and a Burgundy Brown eyeshadow called Rich Core.  They are reflective in color, and smooth in texture.  They make for beautiful lid colors.  Some of these are still available at your local counter and online.  Be sure to check them out.

Reel Sexy Collection by MAC- Magenta Blush

Hi Angels!!

I'm back with my favorite blush from the Reel Sexy Collection by MAC.  I present you with the Magenta blush from Reel Sexy Collection.  It is a matte raspberry that is true to color and very pigmented.  A little bit goes a long way, so tap that brush off before applying to your cheeks!  No clowns here!

Extra Dimension Collection by MAC

Hi Angels!!

This is the highlighter from the Extra Dimension collection by MAC.  It is called Glorify and it is glorious!  It is the perfect gold to add that artificial light on our faces without making you look like a disco ball.  It is smooth and does not have glitter so the look is natural.  What more can you ask for?

Reel Sexy Collection by MAC

Hi Angels!!

Here are the lipsticks from the Reel Sexy Collection just released from MAC.  The colors are from left to right, Watch me simmer(coral pink), Reel Sexy (peach lustre), Pink Popcorn (pink/purple lustre), and Heroine (violet/purple matte). 

These lipsticks were a hit in stores and online.  They are mostly sold out everywhere, but you can call and visit your neighborhood counters to see if there any stragglers.  Happy Shopping!

Viva Glam- Nicki Minaj

Hi Angels!!

If you missed out on Pink Friday this is not a replacement, LOL, but is a fierce color.  This is Viva Glam Nicki which will be available all year along with Ricki Martin's lip conditioner.  This lipstick is described as HOT Pink.  That it is..but is also has a warmth Pink Friday lacked with coral aspect.  It is a satin finish which I like to put on with a brush to keep from getting in the crevices of my lips.  Overall everyone can make this work for them, so go out and buy it.  You will be supporting MAC's donation of every penny to AIDS research. This alone makes it a no brainer!  Enjoy!
