Bordeaux and Bling Holiday Party Look

Hello again Angels!

Back with some more outfit inspiration for the holidays.  Our last post was oh-so-fab and didn't hold back on the glamour.  If you missed it, check it out here.
So, we wanted to be sure to follow up with something a little more tame for those social settings where you may want to dress to impress but keep it simple (read:  you significant other's boss' Christmas party!)
For this look, it's head to toe bordeaux (also known as burgundy, oxblood, etc).  Blush pairs so beautifully with this hue, so we couldn't resist topping it off with this Zara blazer.  And let's not forget the megawatt bling on the ears,  neck and in hand to really make things festive.

We would love to hear your questions and comments below.  Hope you like!
Until next time,
Happy Holidays!

LaFemme Blushes

Psssst!!!!
Hi Angels, come in closer...LOL
I am going to let you in on an industry pearl.   What would you say if I told you that you could find blushes that are as pigmented and pretty as MAC and NARS for about five dollars a pop?

Are you dying to know yet? LOL

Look below. You will find my latest haul of LaFemme blushes. I bought them in palette form so I could put them in a sturdy black palette for less than ten bucks made just for them.   Here are the colors from left to right:
Mauve Sparkle, Mulberry, Bordeaux, Golden Ruby, Purple Passion, and Lilac Champagne.

Here are the blushes swatched. As you can see they are pretty true to the color in the pan.   This was with one pass on each blush.   Each color can be built up or toned down to your liking.

Here are the second set that go into the twelve well palette.
From left to right you have: Mocha, Plum Frost, Indian Rose, Peach Sparkle Dusty Rose and Crystal cafe.  These are also beautiful colors. You will see the colors better in the swatches.

Here are the second set of blushes swatched from left to right:
Mocha, Plum Frost, Indian Rose, Peach Sparkle, Dusty Rose and Crystal Cafe.   Just pretty!

All of these colors and more are available at MakeUpMania

and Camera Ready Cosmetics for purchase.   For the price of two NARS blushes and 4 MAC blushes you get twelve slighty smaller blushes and a palette. There is even a dupe for NARS' best selling blush Orgasm.   It is called coral spice and of course it never stays in stock. Good buy? I guess you will have to be the judge.

Try them out for yourselves!

MAC Glamourdaze Collection

Hi Angels,
I am back with one of a few reviews from MAC's several holiday collections. I believe there were six this year. I will be reviewing what I purchased from three of the collections. As my collection gets larger I am trying to buy what is most unique in every release.

The picture below was the invite for MAC's Glamourdaze collection. Isn't pretty? Now on to the review......

Here are my goodies from right to bottom: Superb Extra Dimension Skinfinish (a re-release from the Extra Dimension Collection), I'm the One blush, Small Vanity Blush and Outrageously Fun lipstick.

Here is a picture before they are swatched:

Here are the lovelies swatched from left to right: Superb (a smooth textured white gold skinfinish) , I'm the One (a blue pink matte blush), Small Vanity (a pinky brown matte blush) and Outrageously Fun (a purply/pink blue based cremesheen lipstick).

I was pleasantly surprised by my goodies. You are able to create a very girly and fun look with these items.

I  returned I'm the One blush because it looked like Pink Peony Blush which I already owned.  When I returned the I am the One blush, I then picked up Glamourdaze lipstick. It is also a cremesheen. It is a pretty browny/purply/pink that looks beautiful with Small Vanity blush. I even bought a back up. So that tells you how much I like it.

Swatched from top to bottom: Glamourdaze and Outrageously Fun:

These lipsticks sold out when they went online. There are still pieces of this collection lurking online at MAC and in stores. It never hurts to ask.

Till next time Angels...

MAC StyleSeeker Collection

Hello Angels!

I must admit, I did some damage with MAC's last collection!  It featured an array of warm corals to brick colors, which are right up my alley.   Let's take a look at what I hauled.:

We will begin with the blushes- there were three blushes named Worldly Wealth, Supercontinental and Hidden treasure. I purchased the last two. I left Worldly Wealth behind because it resembled Format blush from the permanent line.

Supercontinental is a warm peach with a beautiful shimmer Hidden Treasure is a lovely burnt red color with a wonderful sheen.   They were both a welcome addition to my collection.

From left to right Supercontinental and Hidden Treasure. They are both very pigmented and wear beautifully:

Next up are the lipsticks from this collection.   From left to right we have Fashion Nomad, Delectable and Eden Rouge. They are a matte Red-orange, a matte pale peach and a matte blood red.   I wore them with MAC Auburn , Chicory and Vino lip pencils, respectfully.   I wanted the pencils to compliment the lipstick and not change the color.

From top to bottom Fashion Nomad, Delectable and Eden Rouge:

Now on to the lip glosses!  I purchased Restless and Eclectic Edge.   (from left to right below)
Restless is a rust color with gold shimmer.   It can be worn alone or over a similar lipstick.   Ecletic Edge is an opaque coral with a gold shimmer.  This definitely can be worn alone or over colors like Fashion Nomad.

And last but by no means least are the eye shadows from this collection.  Along with my other purchases I also hauled two eye shadow duos.

Below is On The Hunt. The top color is a shimmery burnt red. the bottom color is a pinky gold with gold shimmer. They have great color payoff and went on smoothly.

MAC Heavenly Creatures

Hello Angels!!

MAC released it's mineralize collection on the 5th of July.  It is called Heavenly Creatures.  It is chock full of beautiful cremesheen glasses, mineralize skin finishes, mineralize blushes and mineralize eyeshadows.  We will be reviewing what I bought, and if I remember any standouts that others were talking about, I will mention them as well.

Let us start with the Cremesheen glasses.  They are absolutely beautiful.  I bought four of the five.  Below from left to right are Celestial Kiss(for obvious reasons LOL) peach nude, Astral (corally red pink), Galaxy Rose (dust rose) and Meteoric (corally pink). This formula is my favorite of MAC's glosses.  It is creamy smooth with lots of color.

Dolce Vita review NARS FALL 2012 collection

Hello Angels!!

I just received notification that NARS' Fall collection was available on their site now.  As I looked at the products i recognized an oldie but goodie that was being re-promoted.  It is NARS' blush Dolce Vita.  I happen to have that one and a few more in my stash so I decided to review it for you.
NARS is an iconic makeup brand that is known worldwide for their simple clean looks as well as pigmented colors.  Francisco NARS' staple product is a icon in itself.  That item my pretties would be Orgasm blush.  Although it is the most popular blush in the line there are a multitude of other including the one I am reviewing today.

I purchased Dolce Vita when I was just getting into blushes and was running away from another blush I thought was too bright. That blush was Crazed.  Boy do I regret that now!!  Dolce Vita is a pretty warm pink with warm pinky/gold reflects.  It goes on prettier than it swatches and gives the face a beautiful glow.  It is a wonderful color that adds to your makeup without being the primary focus.  Dolce Vita is online at NARScosmetics.com, Sephora.com as well as many department stores.  Stop by your nearest counter and have a look.

Hey Sailor by MAC - Part 2

MAC's Summer collection launched on May 24th.  The colors were on trend with lots of peach coral and gold.

Here is what I bought from left to right:

Lip glosses : Riviera Life (an orange with shimmer), Cut Loose(white opaque gloss), Orange Tempura(atrue opaque coral gloss), Blessedly Rich [**one of the stars of the collection**] (A bronzy orange color with tone on tone shimmer).

Lipsticks: Salute(a true light peach in a satin formula) and Sail la vie( a mid-tone orange suitable for all skin tones) .  They are both beautiful and different from other lipsticks in my collection.

Powerpoint Eyeliner: Emerald Sea.  A beautiful green with yellow tones.

Blush: Fleet Fast Blush.  A matte peach.  It doesn't go on Chalky no matter how much you put on and everyone can have peach cheeks.  I didn't pick this up until I saw my sister who is NW45 with it in her bag.  I immediately purchased it and am in love.

I wasn't originally going to buy this much but I have to admit I am happy with my purchases.  I will be enjoying them this summer.

Hey Sailor - Summer Collection by MAC

The new summer collection from MAC, Hey Sailor! is full of some hidden treasures. The collection launched last Thursday.  Below I have on fleet fast blush (a peach that doesn't go on ashy no matter how much you put on), Salute lipstick (a light peach) with Blessedly Rich lipgloss (a gold multicolor glitter).  I originally passed on the gloss and blush but was easily persuaded when I saw my sister with them. All together they make for a beautiful Spring/Summer face.

Don't be discouraged if it is sold out online.  Hunt them down at your counter!

Happy Hauling!!

P.S.  I will be back with the other lipstick and glosses.

Peony Petal from the Tres Cheek Collection by MAC

Hi Angels!!

This blush I purchased from the Tres Cheek collection by MAC.  It is a true bubble gum pink with a Satin finish.  It warms up beautifully on the skin with being ashy.  It was a welcome addition to my collection.  Hope you enjoy as well!

MAC shop shop cook cook 2

Hi Angels!!

These are the creme blushes that I hauled from the S3C3 collection.  Who wants to write shop and cook three times?  Anyway, from left to right we have Florida (a blue based pink), Optimistic Orange(a coral), and Restores Dazzle( a berry color).  They are all a hit and can be worn alone or underneath a powder blush for enhancement.  They are great colors that are on trend for Spring.
Once again check for them at your nearest counter or
