LA GIRL GLAZED LIP PAINT

Hi Angels,

If you're our Facebook friend or one of our Instragam followers you saw us feature this product in our take on Splurge vs Steal. We're now back with a review on the LA GIRL glazed lip paints. These little beauties can also be great stocking stuffers for this time of the year.

LA GIRL is a good line with makeup artist products for drugstore prices.  Their line is definitely worth checking out.  Let's look at the lip paints we have in our collection.

The colors from left to right are Coy, Babydoll, Blushing, Bombshell and Hot Mess.

Here are our swatches in that order on MAC NW43 skin:

We also have some individualized swatches.

Coy

Babydoll

Blushing

Bombshell

Hot Mess

As you can see the LA GIRL lip paints are true to color.  They go on smoothly like a lipstick with the shine of a lipgloss.  They wear for 2 hours without eating or drinking.  At the price point of $2.99-4.00  they can be reapplied.  You will not be disappointed with the purchase.  You can purchase them at your local Rite Aid, beauty supply or online at LAGIRLcosmetics.com and ikatehouse.com.

So Angels, what do you think? Are we going to purchase one of these beauties?  Do you already have a shade you love?  Or is this a pass?  Let us know how you feel?

Until next time Angels

MAC Nasty Gal Revisited

Hi Angels,

I don't know about you all but we here are feeling the stress of Holiday shopping.  From the day after Thanksgiving we've been bombarded with circulars and emails.  As the Holidays approach, we are slowly seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

The MAC Nasty Gal collection was a welcome distraction. The collection launched on December 4th and we were not dissapointed by the lovely matte lipsticks.
Here are our swatches (nw43 skin)and pics: [from top to bottom Gunner, Runner,Stunner]

These lippies are perfect for the season and are non drying matte lipsticks.
They are smooth and true to color. The colors are a deep matte purple, matte brick and matte wine.  These three lipsticks can take you throughout this season.  The reds will keep you on trend with Marsala being the Pantone color of the year,
Here are our pics of the actual lipsticks:

Runner

Gunner

We are in love over here. A new lipstick will help us brave those holiday sales. Although Gunner is sold out, the other lipsticks are still available on maccosmetics.com.

So what do we think Angels?  Are we in
love?  Did we buy these lippies or are they on our Holiday wish list?  Let us know if you bought them and what your thoughts were.

Until next time Angels,

NARS vs Sonia Kashuk dupe

Hi Angels,

I hope you enjoyed your holiday.  I have to say my head is spinning from all these sales.  It's a little overwhelming. LOL. In an effort to focus I decided to try and find the HG Olivia Pope lipcolor for my skintone.  It's this berry/brown/pink that looks like your lips but better.  I went to Sephora and bought NARS' Bahama Velvet Matte lip pencil.  It's a creamy pencil that applies smoothly and in my favorite finish.

I went to Target the next day and was browsing through the Sonia Kashuk line. I  found a dupe for NARS' Bahama.  It's Sonia Kashuk's Velvety matte crayon in Mulberry.
Here are my two pencils together:

Isn't that crazy? Let's look at the swatches .

The NARS pencil is on top and the Sonia Kashuk pencil is on the bottom. There is very little difference in color and they wear the same.

The next picture is of the actual pencils.

Our last pic will be of myself wearing both pencils.
The NARS pencil is on the left and The Sonia Kashuk is on the right.  As you can see they look the same.  The NARS pencil lasts a little longer but I think that can be overlooked considering the price. The NARS pencil is $25 at sephora and department stores. The Sonia Kashuk pencil is $7.59 at Target. I will definitely be on the lookout for more colors.

So what do we think Angels? Is this not a great steal? Do you have any of these pencils?  Let us know what you think.

Until next time Angels
