Dolce Vita review NARS FALL 2012 collection

Hello Angels!!

I just received notification that NARS' Fall collection was available on their site now.  As I looked at the products i recognized an oldie but goodie that was being re-promoted.  It is NARS' blush Dolce Vita.  I happen to have that one and a few more in my stash so I decided to review it for you.
NARS is an iconic makeup brand that is known worldwide for their simple clean looks as well as pigmented colors.  Francisco NARS' staple product is a icon in itself.  That item my pretties would be Orgasm blush.  Although it is the most popular blush in the line there are a multitude of other including the one I am reviewing today.

I purchased Dolce Vita when I was just getting into blushes and was running away from another blush I thought was too bright. That blush was Crazed.  Boy do I regret that now!!  Dolce Vita is a pretty warm pink with warm pinky/gold reflects.  It goes on prettier than it swatches and gives the face a beautiful glow.  It is a wonderful color that adds to your makeup without being the primary focus.  Dolce Vita is online at NARScosmetics.com, Sephora.com as well as many department stores.  Stop by your nearest counter and have a look.

What I'm Obsessed With This Week....

Hi Angels!!

Another week, another obsession.  This week I came across these "Cregger" pumps from the Faster Line on Gilt.com, and I think they are amazing for the Fall.  They are only $69, on sale from the retail price of $155 and come in a variety of colors, though the black and bone is my pick.  They are from the ALDO Rise Collection designed by Mark Fast who has also collaborated with Christian Louboutin and Swarovski in the past.  I am ordering these today and pairing them with an all black outfit, the shoes steal the show.  Let me know what you think!

Call Me Gwen-ever

Hello Angels,

This polish is part of the Spiderman Collection from OPI.  It is called Call me Gwen-ever. It is a beautiful soft orange that is right on trend for the season.  It applied beautifully with two coats. It is going strong after 4 days.  I daresay I love this polish.  It isn't in your face but it is still a "now" color.
It definitely lives up to the OPI brand  for giving you a good bang for your buck.  This polish can be bought at your local Target and Harmon.

Essie Set In Stones Review

Hello Angels,

I happened to see this Essie polish in Harmon's on one of many visits.  The name is Set in Stones and it is from the luxeeffects line.  It was beautiful in the bottle and I couldn't wait to get it home.  I layered it on top of an Essie nude polish to make it last longer.  Doesn't it look like an ice skater's outfit?  I believe because it had another color to adhere to it went on easier and wore longer.  This combination lasted seven days without a single chip.  DO NOT wear this if you do not want attention.  it is definitely a conversation piece LOL.  This polish is sold at your local Harmon and Target.

What I'm Obsessed With This Week....

Hi Angels!!

I am obsessed with shades of RED right now.  Whether it's a red bag, a pair of shoes with a pop of red, or a red frock, I am currently loving this trend.  Isn't it time to switch things up?  Here are some of my favorites from Zara, Ferragamo, and H&M.

The Zara shopper is a great way to break up an outfit.  Pair this bag with a black dress for an instant wow factor.  For a more casual look, you can wear this with a pair of distressed denim and a white tee, and still look polished.  I especially love these Ferragamo wedges, what a great way to sneak some color in, while still looking classy.  The red dress is a great transitional look from day to evening.  You can wear the dress to work with a pair of pumps and a blazer.  Pair it with a clutch and some sexy strappy sandals for an evening look.  Enjoy!

Sugarpill Burning Heart Palette

Hello Angels,

Today I am reviewing the Sugarpill Burning Heart Palette.  For those of you who are not familiar Sugarpill is an indie brand with some of the boldest colors in the business.  This palette has four colors and is more than reasonably priced at $34.00 considering the size of the shadows.

I purchased this palette because I had trouble finding a yellow that showed its true color on my skin.  As you can see by the photo, it did its job. ( I used Flamepoint, Buttercupcake and Love+)  The quad contains four colors.  Flamepoint(orange), Buttercupcake(yellow) Love+(red), and Poison Plum(purple).  These shadows are on makeup artists's lists all over the net when they are citing some of their favorite colors.  Please check out the swatches below:

On Sugarpillshop.com you will find two other palettes as well as the shadows in singles. There is also an abundance of loose shadows in different vibrant colors on their site.  In my honest opinion you get a big bang for your buck when purchasing these shadows. I would definitely check them out if I were you.  Please leave some for me!
