MAC Simpsons Collection

DHi Angels,

It looks like MAC has released another collaboration with one of America's most famous family.  Today the Simpson's collection was released online.  Here is what the brand had to say about the line:

"On the occasion of its 25th anniversary, M·A·C honours the one, the only, THE SIMPSONS. We are celebrating the country’s favourite animated family and its beloved matriarch Marge with a vibrant colour collection that screams That Trillion Dollar Look. Our classic formulas and finishes you love are to blue dye for with an animated twist. All in limited-edition packaging that can only be described in one word: Eeeeexcellent.

The promo pic is truly delightful and will bring a smile to your face as well as the fun packaging.  Here is the promo pic courtesy of MAC:

The collection consists of four lipglasses, two eyeshadow quads, eyelashes, nail stickers and blushes.  They are available online, and at MAC counters and stores while supplies last.

Now let's look at these pics courtesy of Forbes magazine. From top left to right: Marge's extra ingredients quad, nacho cheese explosion lipglass, pink sprinkles blush, Simpsons 7 lash and the other eyeshadow quad named that trillion dollar look.

Urban Decay Naked Basics 2

Hi Angels,

As you already know we Pretty Prescribers are fans of Urban Decay.  We especially like their best selling Naked Palettes.  In addition to their Naked Palette, the brand released Naked Basics.  These are mattes that can be used in addition to the shimmery shades.

Well today Urban Decay released Naked 2 Basics  These colors are a welcome addition to your Naked 2 palette.  Here is what the brand had to say...
"Cooler in tone than the original, Naked2 Basics complements Naked 2 perfectly. We loaded this indispensable palette with six TAUPE-hued matte neutrals, including five never-before-seen shades. These shadows are neutral enough for anyone, from cool skin tones to olive complexions to darker skin."

Here is a pic of the new palette courtesy of Urban Decay:

The colors are described by the brand as follows: (from left to right)
Skimp (pale nude satin), Stark (nude-pink matte), Frisk (warm gray matte), Cover (muted red-brown matte), Primal (muted brown matte) and Undone (deep, smoky brown matte).

The next pic is of the  previously released Urban Decay Naked 2 palette:( also courtesy of Urban Decay's website)
The Naked 2 Basics opens up
More options for the Naked 2 palette. The possibilities of beautiful daytime looks has increased twofold. The palette is available at UrbanDecay.com for $29.This idea is great. Although I don't own this Naked 2 Palette, I am anxious to see what Naked 3 Basics will contain.  I do own Naked 3 as well as the original Naked palette.

So what so we think Angels?  Are you interested?  Let us know if it's a yay or nay.  We look forward to hearing from you.

Until next time Angels,

What's Buzzin' in the blogosphere!

Hi Angels,

I just wanted to let you know about some of the news items causing a buzz in the blogosphere.
Anastasia has teamed up with Makeup artist Amrezy to bring you an eyeshadow palette.  It contains neutrals and vibrant pops of color. The buzz has been positive.  This palette comes with a brush and is available for $29 at AnastasiaBeverlyHills.com and exclusively at Ulta stores.  Here it is pictured below courtesy of Ulta.

The next items are from Stila Cosmetics. The first one is their new mascara.  It is called Mile High Lashes.  The brand says that the sky is the limit for length, lift and volume. It is pictured below.(courtesy of stilacosmetics.com)

Their other release is in the lip region.  Stila has released what they believe is a new generation in metal makeup.  These beauties pictured below are called the magnificent metals lip glosses. They are lip lacquers with a cutting ede multi-dimensional finish. They are available wherever Stila is sold for $23.00.

The last product is from the geniuses at Lancome.  The leaders in mascara have done it again.  All other brands have been put on notice. LOL.  Grandiose mascara was released last week by the brand powerhouse.  Everything from the ad, the packaging and the mascara itself is innovative. Have a look at these pics courtesy of Lancome.

Here is a close up of the mascara: this is actually the shadow of the package.

Lastly we have a close up of the mascara and wand.
The patented swan neck wand allows for application in many different directions with the greatest of ease. This beauty is sold for $32.00 wherever Lancome is sold.

So what do we think Angels?  Are any of these worth a look?  Have you purchased any of these items?  Let us know what you think?

Until next time Angels,

Converse X Missoni at Nordstom's

Hi Angels,

I was reading my emails and found this interesting tidbit from Nordie's.  Converse and Missoni have teamed up for a limited edition take on the Chucks that are currently available.  Here is the pic courtesy of Nordstom's:

Aren't they cute my Fashionista Angels? And you won't have to fight off a stampede like the one at Target a few years back.  Everyone can have a piece of Missoni for a reasonable price.

So what do we think Angels?  Will this sneaker become a part of your fall staples?  Let us know if it's a yes or no.  We would love to hear from you.

MAC Viva Glam Rihanna II

Hi Angels,

MAC and Rihanna are back at it again.  The powerhouses have just released new pictures for Rihanna's second Viva Glam lipstick and lipglass.  This addition will join Rihanna's Viva Glam1.  The lippies will be released next month.  Here are the pics courtesy of Macosmetics.com.

Rihanna borrows from another Viva Glam Shero for this look. We're talking about none other than Nicki Minaj who has rocked this green hair on many occasions.  Rihanna's take is more mermaidesque.  Now let's take a look at the lippies. (courtesy of maccosmetics.com).

The lipstick, Viva Glam Rihanna II ($19), is a metallic frosty mauve  while the lipgloss ($15) comes in a frosted reddish mauve.

Profits from the sales will help those affected by HIV and AIDS.Help a cause and look great while doing it.  It sounds like a win/win situation.  Although I didn't purchase her first Viva Glam this one has piqued my interest.  It is different and will be worn differently by everyone.

So what do we think Angels?  Will we be picking this up?  Do you have a favorite Viva Glam?  Let us know what you think.

Until next time Angels

Waterproof Workout!

Hi Angels,

I have to confess. I am trying to get my workout on!!! I have some baby weight I need to shed.  I have just joined my local gym. It is five minutes away from my house so I have no excuse.  The classss have been kicking my butt.  The other day I had to run out of there because my favorite mascara and filled in eyebrows were running down my face.

As you all know, I can compromise in most things but my brows must be on my face at all times.  Now, how I am going to shed pounds and not worry about my brows running down my face?  After trying several eyebrow pencils, eyebrow gels that were not the ride shade, I came up with a different approach.  Why not waterproof what you already have? Enter this gem right here: ( picture courtesy of Sephora.com)

This is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Beauty Genius Clear Waterproofing Gel.  It is sold exclusively at Sephora and Anastasia Beverly Hills  for $18.00.  I just added this beauty to a disposable brow brush.  I applied it over my favorite mascara and eyebrow pencil. Volia no melting brows or eyelashes in extreme heat or excessive sweating.

Here is a pic of me after my CKO class:

My eyebrows and eyelashes are still intact.  Believe you me, this was quite the test. You can see the beads of sweat on my forehead.  This is also great for the summer months where your brows and eyelashes may call it quits during this hot weather. The best part is that you can continue to use your favorite product.

So what do we think Angels?  Is this worth a whirl?  Did you need to waterproof your favorite mascara or set your brows in the summer?  Let us know what you think.

Until next time
Happy Haulin'
