Blinged Out Watch

Hi Angels!

I love this watch by Stuhrling. It is part of the Audrey Collection, the Radiant model. I purchased it on Gilt.com for $79, while it's retail price was well over $400. It looks beautiful with most outfits. I love how the face looks like a shell, so unexpectedly beautiful.  I like to pair it with a fun bracelet, an evil eye bracelet has been my pairing of choice as of late.

Happy Shopping!

Arm Candy!!!!

Hello Angels!

As the summer wears on, we want to share with you what we're wearing ON our wrists.  Two words:  ARM CANDY.  If you're not yet up on this trend, allow us at the Pretty Prescription to come to your rescue ;).
You may have been thinking less is more but with this trend more is... well, more!   There's really no wrong way to stack bracelets on your arms, with a nice statement watch, playing with texture and color.  Mix metals and materials for the ideal look.  If you're a DIYer then you're in luck because you can really play with creativity here and save lots of money.
Here are a few examples of what we're wearing and how we're wearing it:

J. Crew, Kendra Scott and Stella and Dot are among our favorite jewelry designers.
For very affordable and trendy bracelets and necklaces there are a few Etsy and online shops we love.
For example:  Gigglosophy
Another fave:  Urban Peach Boutique

And let's never forget our absolute fave for all affordable trendy things:  Target.  Yes.  Target.
With bracelets for as little a $6 a pop you'll have an awesome arm stack going in no time.
This is a fun fashion trend that really lets you express your individuality while following a trend (who knew!) so...  Happy shopping!
We'd love to see what you're wearing and how you're wearing it too!  Post pics of your arm candy and any great deals you come across in comments!

DIY Arm Candy!!!

Hello Angels,

Having a little extra time to myself this summer has lead to searches for creative outlets.  Cue... My old jewelry making hobby!  I got on the internet trolling for easy and fun projects to busy my idle hands with and this is what I made, easy as pie:

Major shout out to www.honestlywtf.com for their amazing how-to instructions including references for the materials to use and where to get them.  Here are the links for making the bracelets above:

Cross sliding knot bracelet:  DIY Sliding Knot Bracelet
Bead/leather bracelets:  DIY Wrap Bracelet
Embellished friendship bracelet:  DIY Embellished Friendship Bracelets
If you don't know how to make a Chevron patterned friendship bracelet, here's the best tutorial I've ever seen on the web:

I, for one, have found a new love in making a million of these in every color under the sun and decorating my arm with endless amounts of arm candy!
Happy creating and hit me with any questions!
