NARS Audacious Lipstick Collection

Hi Angels,

It seems like a few brands have been celebrating their birthdays.  NARS is one of them.  To celebrate their 20th birthday, NARS has released a new line of lipsticks. The Audicious Lipstick line features 40 new very pigmented shades. And true to the brand all of the lipsticks have great names.  The deep oxblood  lipstick named Charlotte is inspired by NARS' longtime muse Charlotte Rampling.  Here is a pic of a few of the lipsticks courtesy of Harpersbazaar.com.

We Pretty Prescribers are diehard NARS fans.  Anyone that can give Naomi Campbell some of her signature looks is a friend of ours.  This is definitely a collection that should be checked out. With this many colors there should be something for everyone.

So what do you think Angels?  Are you on the market for an Audacious lipstick?  Have you already purchased one? Let us know what you think.

Until next time Angels,
Happy Haulin'

Mother's Day Top 10 Picks Under $100

Hi Angels!!

We know it's always so hard to figure out what to get for our mothers, wouldn't she just tell us!!!  So, since Mom will always be elusive and say she doesn't need anything (she's so selfless <3), we decided to put together some beauty products and accessories that won't break the piggy bank!  We tried to pick items that we would like to receive ourselves, because as it turns out, we're not all that different from our moms, though we would like to think we are.

And the winners for 2014 are......

So here is the run down:

1.  Nars The Narsissist Eye Palette (Limited Edition):
We love all the range of colors in this palette, and great for the Mom on the go!
$79 @ Sephora

2.  Guerlain La Petite Robe Noir Set:
Can't go wrong with the luxe feel of Guerlain!
$74 @ Sephora

3.  Formula X - The Twenty-Two Nail Set:

Monogram is always a great way to add a personal touch.
$38 @ C Wonder (and still some money left over to buy something else!)

6.  Alex and Ani Bangles:
We don't think this one needs too much explanation, everyone loves them, and they're are way affordable. You can get bangles with initials, zodiac signs, birthstones, or almost anything else!
$28 @ Alex and Ani

7.  Michael Kors Buckle Bangle:
This one is at the tippy top of our budget, but it's a classic.  They also come in a range of tones, gold tone, rose gold tone, two-tone, etc.
$95 @ Saks

8.  Marc by Marc Jacobs Square Sunglasses:
These are so chic, everyone loves sunglasses!

Another Must For Fall - Moto Jackets

Hi Angels!!

I am back with another one of my favorites for fall.  I am obsessed with leather (and faux leather) moto jackets!  They can be dressed up or down, and add a bit of edginess to an outfit.  Don't be afraid to wear it with a dress or skirt!  As an added bonus they keep you nice and warm too.  I have included some different options below.  My top pick is the Zara vegan moto jacket priced at $119.  It's an inexpensive yet chic option that is cruelty free. Happy shopping!!

Everyone Loves Plaid

Hi Angels!!

One of the top trends I have been seeing everywhere this fall is plaid.  For the first time, I actually think I like plaid!  Designers have made plaid look edgy and tres chic, by creating versatile pieces that can be dressed up or down. They have moved away from the more traditional shirts that you would expect to see in plaid, and have instead created moto jackets and skirts in subdued shades that have managed to make me a fan.  I especially love the look Versace featured in their main display (below).  I think it's an easy look to replicate with a lower end plaid jacket paired with some black leggings and black pumps.  For an office look, wear a plaid pencil skirt with green and navy blue, add a white shirt, bangles, and a statement necklace and you are good to go!!  You can dress plaid down for the weekend with a button down shirt and some gray jeans.

I have scoured high to low, and have summarized places you can find plaid trends and inspiration for every budget ranging from Versace, Saks, all the way to Forever 21. My top pick aside from the Versace look is the Gap jacket, pictured below.  Overall, I think this trend is a do.
